HERRICK, KEVIN JEFF, Kevin Jeff Herrick passed from this life into the presence of his Heavenly Father on February 26, 2007, in Hallsville, Texas. A memorial service honoring Jeff's life is planned for Monday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sherman. Jeff was born on July 31, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Sunset High School and Dallas Baptist University. Jeff was the consummate church organist, and served several north Texas churches including five years of service to the First Baptist Church of Dallas. The longest period of Jeff's ministry was to the First Baptist Church in Sherman, where he served as organist and media director for more than twenty years. Jeff was also a published composer and music arranger whose creations have been used to enhance the worship of untold numbers of congregations across the country. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Genevieve Herrick, and his uncle, Billy Lowry. He is survived by his aunts, Jane Cenicola of Hallsville and Loise Lowry of Irving, his uncle, U. C. Lowry of Hallsville, and a number of cousins. He will be remembered by hundreds of friends who loved him and are grateful to have had him as a part of their lives. Contributions are being received in Jeff's memory to the Jeff and Genevieve Herrick Endowed Memorial Music Scholarship at Dallas Baptist University.
