Spouse: Max (deceased)
Children: 1
Grand Children: 4+
Favorite Song: There are so many...Warmth of the Sun by the Beach Boys is the first that comes to mind.
Favorite Hangout: James Hinton's house because I guess since I spent so much time there.
Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Farmer...who knew English class could be so much fun!!
Type car you drove: I didn't have one. Anita and I used her mom's Chevy II.
Fondest / Worst memories: This is a tough one!! There are so many fond memories...football games, dances, Fair day and eating everything at the fair, slumber parties and the list goes on and on.
The Worst memory is easy...Senior Day. I had food poisoning and was so sick all I could do was walk across the stage and out the door to go back home. By the Purple and White game that night I was fine but the rest of squad 5 was sick. It was an ugly sight!!
What you've learned since graduation: The most valuable lesson I have learned is to never take for granted the time we have here on Earth. Each day is a gift and needs to be treated as such. We have to make things happen. I have also realized exactly how fortunate I am to have made such good friends in high school and to still have those people in my life today.
What you've been doing since graduation: We raise one really terrific daughter and am now enjoying 4 grandchildren who are all in high school. I did the night school college thing and finally got my degree from UNT. Since we became "Empty Nesters" at a pretty early age, Max and I spent a lot of time traveling and seeing the country. We took a 7 month road trip across the U.S., Alaska and Canada. It was an experience that I will cherish always. I have visited 22 National Parks in the U.S. We moved to Austin in 2000 and by 2002 I was a widow and looking to starting a new career as a bank manager. I still have the travel bug and am in the process of planning my next adventure.
